Rosemytha

I'm Rosemytha Jean and I'm studying Nursing at Providence University. I’m in my third year.

Recently, I had in an internship at the Hospital of Hope.  It was very helpful and went very well.

I liked it because it allowed me to help people. During this internship we learned about child behavior and vaccination schedules. We also studied other pediatric conditions such as glmerulonephritis, dehydration and asthma. When children have asthma it is important to monitor the respiratory condition and administer the medication properly. The child should also be well hydrated. I participated in vaccinating children many times. It is a good opportunity to intern in a hospital or orphanage.

I would like to thank each of your for your help with my education.  I learned a lot during these three years. I don’t regret anything about my choice to study Nursing. It was always my desire to serve and to help sick people.  I just have learned so many things about medicine and I'm learning how to help my family, my friends, my environment and how nursing has an impact on my life.

When I was in high school, I had a good friend that encouraged me in my classes. She encouraged me to study and to have success in the exams. Her influence had a positive impact in my life and at the end of my schooling I was successful and qualified to go to university. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me get to where I am today! May God continue to bless us.

I am Samuel Wilme and I am 27 years old. I lived in an orphanage since I was 13. Now I am living with some friends in the scholarship program who were in the orphanage with me. My family has 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. I am the second in my family. My sisters and brothers live with my mom at Cabaret in the countryside of Port au Prince.

I studied Industrial Mechanics at Canado Technique. I am a Technician of Mecanique d’Entretien Industrial. When I studied at Canado-Technique my favorite subjects were : Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrohydraulics, Electropneumatics,  Compressors, Hydraulic Pumps.

This scholarship did so many things for me. It changed my life completely. I did not have hope to go to university to learn but now by grace from God I went and became a good Technician! I realize the Bridge Scholarship is very important to me. I now have a very nice future in my country! Since graduation I have been working at KOLOS in the Dominican Republic.  It is a foreign company and a good company to work for. The company is opening operations in Haiti soon and I hope to have a position there with them.

I want to thank you all and I would like to ask all of you to keep supporting Bridge Scholarship Program because is very helpful here in Haiti.

Because of you I'm independent,  working and helping my community as well!

Love to you all!
