Hello everybody!

I’m Ketya Jean I’m here today to speak about something which I think is very important.

I’m the second girl in my family. I don’t have a mother and my father lives at Petit Goave. I lived in an orphanage when my mother died. When I was 4 years old I went to the orphanage until I was 13. I finished my classical studies there. I see it’s a good experience when you live in an orphanage.

Now I’m studying Management at Providence University. I’m a second year student.  I have the privilege of participating in the Bridge Scholarship to send me to university for 4 years. It’s a beautiful thing for me. I’m a good student.  I think if I was a bad student I could not really profit from this privilege.

I have many ideas to help my country because God did a big thing for me. I would like to open a hotel to give people jobs. So many Haitian people do not have jobs. I think it’s the best way to thank God for the opportunity and also for the program. I like to be generous and I have respect for myself and everyone around me. I love and trust in God and I like to study and I like my friends!

May God bless you.
